Erosion Control Solutions by Dan Carroll Groundworks

Dan Carroll Groundworks were recently appointed to carry out specialist erosion control works at one of Cheshire's leading golf course and spa hotels. The project involved the design and installation of a series of gabion baskets to address significant erosion that was gradually threatening the integrity of one of the course's holes.

With minimal formal design input, our team drew on years of experience and a keen eye for detail to work closely with the hotel management team. Together, we developed a solution that was not only highly functional but also visually impressive — a sweeping, curved gabion feature that blends seamlessly into the natural landscape of the course.

The finished structure has since become one of the standout features of the hole, adding a striking and challenging new hazard that enhances both the aesthetics and the playability of the course.
